Privacy Policy
Last updated: 14 June 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Leonardo Poggi (“I”, “me”, “my”) collects, uses and protects your personal data when you visit leonardopoggi.com (the “Site”) or get in touch with me. I am committed to protecting your privacy in line with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable law.
1. Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Leonardo Poggi. For any privacy-related request, you can reach me at info@leonardopoggi.com.
2. What data I collect
Information you give me voluntarily. If you email me or request a free demo, I receive the information you choose to share — typically your name, email address, business details and the content of your message.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, this Site uses analytics provided by WordPress.com / Jetpack (Automattic Inc.) to understand how visitors use it. This may include your IP address (anonymised or truncated where possible), browser and device type, pages viewed, referring website and approximate location. Some of this relies on cookies and similar technologies.
3. Cookies
This Site uses a small number of cookies for analytics and basic functionality. Where required, a cookie banner lets you accept or decline non-essential cookies, and you can also manage them through your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies will not prevent you from using the Site.
4. Why I use your data (legal bases)
• To respond to your enquiries and prepare a possible project — to take steps at your request before entering into a contract.
• To understand and improve the Site — my legitimate interest in running an effective website, and/or your consent for analytics cookies.
• To comply with legal obligations where applicable.
I do not sell your personal data, and I do not use it for automated decision-making or profiling.
5. Who I share data with
I only share data with providers that help me run the Site and communicate with you:
• Automattic Inc. — WordPress.com hosting and Jetpack analytics
• My email provider (Titan) — to send and receive email
• Google — the Site loads web fonts from Google Fonts and I use Google Search Console, which may involve Google receiving your IP address
Some providers are based outside the EU (e.g. the United States). Where that is the case, transfers are protected by appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.
6. How long I keep your data
Email correspondence is kept only for as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any resulting project, then deleted. Analytics data is retained for a limited period in line with the provider’s policy.
7. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access your data; have it corrected or deleted; restrict or object to its processing; receive a copy in a portable format; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise any of these, email info@leonardopoggi.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority (in Italy, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali).
8. Children
This Site is not directed at children under 16, and I do not knowingly collect their data.
9. Changes to this policy
I may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above shows the current version.
